More traditional textiles to explore.

The woven ramie of the hanbok— the indigenous dress of Korea— is so diaphanous and the muted, earthy colors are stunningly contrasted by the vibrant hues. This editorial is such a striking contrast of old & new, like so much of contemporary Korean culture…

For someone living in a small town, travel is like a comma, semi-colon (but more probably an exclamation mark even if it’s not grammatically correct) to a long, run-on sentence. We will be having a quick stop (exclamation point) in New York for the weekend and then a week in Las Vegas — no, not for gambling or wild nights —- but for some family time. (It will be the MR’s first “live” encounter with the family (exclamation point!))
I won’t be carrying back any textiles but I hope I’ll bring a lot of inspiration and ideas—and photos—- in my travel trunk when I get back.
ciao!
